Wonderwheel Recordings is proud to announce the much-anticipated reissue of Chancha Vía Circuito (aka Pedro Canale)'s 2014 album Amansara, which has been out of print for over 5 years! Originally emerging from Buenos Aires’ famed digital cumbia scene, Chancha Vía Circuito notoriously broke those boundaries to forge unprecedented fusions of Brazilian rhythms, Paraguayan harp, Andean mysticism and the solitude of Argentinian folklore—all processed through his own electronic lens. Chancha’s sound is undeniably truly unique and instantly recognizable, to the point that it has become a key reference for an entire generation of artists. While having a sort of cult status in electronic music micro-circles, Chancha Vía Circuito’s music has found wide appeal outside the avant-garde, notably thanks to his beautiful remix of José Larralde’s “Quimey Neuquén,” heavily featured in 2013 as part of the final season of the TV show Breaking Bad. Fans of the show undoubtedly remember Walter White burying his millions in the desert, accompanied by Chancha Vía Circuito's wide, smooth grooves. Amansara is a natural progression of this special breed of South American electronic music concocted by Chancha. Lead single “Coplita” features the haunting vocals of Miram Garcia, while “Sueno En Paraguay” fuses Andean folklore sounds with bleeps, blips, and pounding drums, in a way that feels utterly natural and ordered. On “Jardines,” Lido Pimienta's vocals intertwine with powerful synths, percussions, and bells to form an unforgettable track, while “Tarocchi” and “Guajaca” turn up the tempo to a deep, rainforest-situated dancefloor sound. The artwork for Amansara was done by Argentinian psychedelic folkloric painter Paula Duro.
