Pop
Pop is the universal language of music, capable of transcending eras and borders. From the 60s with The Beatles or Françoise Hardy, to more recent waves like Brit Pop, K-Pop or hyperpop, it reflects trends while creating melodies that leave a lasting mark on collective memory.
Listening to pop music on your favorite vinyl records means savoring that immediacy and particular energy: choruses that stick from the first listen, often spectacular productions, and an infinite variety of atmospheres ranging from intimate softness to unifying anthems.
Each album is an invitation to relive an era, discover a scene, or be carried away by the creativity of artists who shape our daily soundscape.

Pop Vinyl Records: From The Beatles to K-Pop, Editions Compared
What's in this pop vinyl section?
This collection of pop vinyl records covers sixty years of hooks and choruses: 60s pop, new wave, Britpop, French and international pop, retro pop, plus K-pop, J-pop, Latin pop and hyperpop. French pop makes up the biggest share, with stars like Johnny Hallyday, Sylvie Vartan, Christophe, Julien Clerc and Francis Cabrel, household names back home even if less known in the US, alongside Talking Heads, Blur, Leonard Cohen, Moby, Seal and Celine Dion.
Pop and vinyl grew up together: the 45 made the hits of the 1960s, then the LP turned the album into an object in its own right. Today, big pop releases often come in several variants, and each record page compares offers from several partner stores so you can sort them out and pay a fair price.
Variants, reissues and originals: buying pop LPs
In pop, one album can come out on black vinyl, color vinyl, picture disc, as a deluxe edition or as a store-exclusive variant. Before you buy, make sure you're comparing the same edition and check what's included: bonus tracks, poster, booklet. For the classics, reissues are plentiful, and originals of massive hits, pressed in huge numbers at the time, are often affordable used. It's rare first pressings, promo copies and withdrawn editions that tend to gain value.

Essential pop albums on vinyl
The 1960s laid the groundwork with The Beach Boys' "Pet Sounds" (1966) and The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967). Then came Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" (1977) and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (1982), followed by the new wave of Talking Heads ("Remain in Light", 1980), Depeche Mode and New Order. The 1990s belonged to the Britpop of Blur, with "Parklife" (1994), and Oasis.
For curious listeners, French pop is worth a detour: Serge Gainsbourg's "Histoire de Melody Nelson" (1971) and Christophe's "Les Paradis perdus" (1973) have become collector favorites, while the hits of Sylvie Vartan, Johnny Hallyday and Françoise Hardy, the stars of 1960s yé-yé, first lived on 45s. Today's pop, from Frank Ocean to K-pop, keeps the story going on vinyl.
Pop subgenres to explore
Narrow your search with the subcollections: French pop, international pop, French retro pop, international retro pop, 60s pop, new wave, Britpop, K-pop, J-pop, Latin pop and hyperpop. Synth lovers will head for new wave, nostalgia seekers for 60s pop and retro pop. In K-pop, the CD remains the main format, often packaged with photocards, but vinyl editions exist too. The genre's new release and pre-order pages track upcoming albums.
