Five years after his last solo record, Kramer makes a grand return with a new instrumental album. His previous projects — And The Wind Blew It All Away, Music For Films Edited By Moths, and Music For Pianos & Sunflowers — were featured in the AIR (Artist In Residence) box set released in 2020 by Joyful Noise Recordings. The first of these albums offered a dreamlike journey weaving together acoustic strings, organs, pianos, mellotrons, and found sounds, punctuated by Kramer's distinctive voice and enigmatic lyrics. On this new LP, the artist abandons words to fully venture into a realm of minimalist sonic poems. These instrumental compositions reconnect with the explorations that captivated him in the late 1970s, at the heart of the New York experimental scene.
