In 1982, the Franco-Belgian trio Antena released their first album on Les Disques du Crépuscule, but Camino Del Sol was quickly forgotten. Isabelle Powaga, aka Isabelle Antena, moved towards jazz in Asia, and the other members returned to France. Twenty years later, only cheap second-hand copies were available. Intrigued by the cover, Numero Group acquired the rights to Camino Del Sol and compiled Antena's exceptional recordings from that period. In 2004, for their second release, the label reissued the album on CD, followed by the vinyl edition in 2010. This superb double vinyl edition includes the essential reissue of the original five-track mini-album, as well as the band's first 12" (a cover of Jobim's "Girl From Ipanema," of course), the 12" Seaside Weekend, tracks from compilations, and two unreleased songs, making this ephemeral combo an avant-garde reference and a modern masterpiece.
