Definitely maybe

Description

Definitely Maybe is the first album by the English band Oasis released on August 30, 1994. It was for a long time the "Fastest Debut Album Of All Time," meaning the first album to sell the fastest upon release, Definitely Maybe is considered a classic in the history of British rock, a reference for many bands of the 2000s. Even today, the Gallagher brothers consider this album to be their best, particularly thanks to the anthems Live Forever, Supersonic, and the explosive Cigarettes And Alcohol added to the excellent Rock 'N' Roll Star, the ballad Married With Children, Bring It On Down, and Slide Away which made Oasis a major band in rock history, also launching "Oasismania," this immense global popularity, rarely achieved by a rock band since the Beatles. It was 7 times platinum in the UK with 7 million copies sold, including 1 million in the United States and 2.1 in their home country. Reissue: CHASING THE SUN is the series of reissues of Oasis's classic albums. Each album has been remastered and will be available with rare and exclusive bonuses. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its original release, Definitely Maybe is the first installment of the series and will be released on May 19. In accordance with their release order, (What's The Story?) Morning Glory and Be Here Now will follow a little later in the year. Definitely Maybe was originally released in August 1994 and was immediately a huge critical and commercial success. The fastest-selling album of all time (at the time), it was certified seven times platinum in the UK (over 2 million copies sold), and has sold 5 million copies worldwide. Containing the first single that became a classic, "Supersonic," released in April 1994, and the subsequent singles "Shakermaker," "Live Forever," and "Cigarettes & Alcohol," Definitely Maybe frequently appears in polls of the 'greatest albums of all time.' Each new edition includes a remastered version of the original album. The deluxe CD edition includes two CDs featuring all the B-sides as well as rare and unreleased Oasis tracks from the Definitely Maybe period, and their immense Christmas single from 1994, "Whatever." All editions offer new sleeve notes by the highly respected rock critic Neil McCormick.
