On October 18, Nicolas Michaux will release his third album. Titled Vitalisme, it brings together twelve recordings made during the singer's travels between the Danish island of Samsø and the Free House, the home studio of Capitane Records in Brussels. As in Amour Colère, his previous album, Michaux navigates between polarities here; dawn and dusk, birth and destruction, hope and cold lucidity, the past and the future... But this time, it is less about exploring the different poles of human experience than about bringing them together at a specific point, where life unfolds. Armed with impeccable writing in both the language of Molière and that of Shakespeare, Michaux traverses the familiar lands of inspired songwriters and addresses the great themes of timeless poetry as well as the more empirical realities of the contemporary world: love, illness, war, wisdom, resurrection; but also climate change and class struggle.
