Nicolas Michaux's second album, titled "Amour Colère," is a collection of ten simple yet meaningful songs recorded in Samsø (Denmark) during the winter and spring of 2019. It's a tapestry of warm drums, gritty bass lines, and soulful guitars, all topped by Michaux's distinctive voice, as he plays all the melodic instruments himself. A songwriter, composer, and producer, the Belgian artist writes and sings in both English and French, consciously positioning himself at the crossroads of various traditions: the golden age of French chanson, American singer-songwriters, 1960s British rock, the early days of new wave, the heyday of Ghanaian Highlife...
