In 1991, Coil released the third of their classic early albums, "Love's Secret Domain", seemingly casting aside the gloom and funereal beauty of its predecessors in favor of a meticulously layered hallucinogenic electronic beast that, unlike some of their industrial contemporaries of the time, didn't attempt easy accessibility. or (God forbid) danceability, but a vibrant psychedelic masterpiece that is unparalleled in their discography and remains a landmark album to this day. To mark this, Infinite Fog is more than proud to present an extended and fully remastered reissue of this fan favorite, released for the first time in its entirety on vinyl with 10 rare and mostly unreleased tracks and alternate versions from the era as a bonus added to a luxurious 3LP/2CD box set. Love's Secret Domain features, among its many highlights, the Lynchian tribute to William Blake of its title track and the exhilarating single "Windowpane", original versions of the Coil Live staple "Teenage Lightning" and the majestically distorted classicisms of "Chaostrophy". Marc Almond is a guest on the typhoonic "Titan Arch" and Charles Hayward of This Heat provides astonishing drumming styles. This album shows Coil pushing their sonic ideas and probably their sanity to the limits. Alongside Steven Stapleton's iconic artwork reproduced here in unprecedented definition, the doors of perception still open wide for longtime Coil fans and newcomers in this highly innovative version to explore unknown depths. The long-awaited reissue shows how far ahead of the curve Coil was with the sounds of this album, which still sounds as fresh and breathtaking as it did in the early 90s.
