2024 marks the 60th anniversary of The Beatles' first trip to the United States. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of that incredible year, Universal Music is reissuing these albums on vinyl, faithfully replicating the originals using the original master tapes. This is the first time since the 1980s that these albums have been available on vinyl. 180-gram pressing.
They paved the way for all other English rock bands, marking the beginning of the "British Invasion." From their appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964, The Beatles immediately captivated American teenagers, igniting passions, and Beatlemania swept across the entire country.
Because they were behind the rest of the world, Capitol US executives decided to release their own versions of the albums, changing tracklists, adding singles, and removing others. They also created different mono mixes from those made at Abbey Road.
