Description
The Beatles recorded seven songs for the BBC's Saturday Club on the evening of March 31, 1964, three of which were covers of American rock 'n' roll and country and western songs. The latter part of the show was also broadcast on the BBC General Overseas Service. Earlier that day, the band had filmed a live performance at the Scala Theatre in Kings Cross that would be included in their upcoming film A Hard Day's Night.
