After establishing itself as a safe bet in the post-punk scene with their first album Family Diner in 2019, the Belgian band SONS, freshly signed to [PIAS] Recordings, is back with the release of their second album Sweet Boy: an event to be released on April 22 in CD and digital and on May 27 in vinyl! For SONS, punk rock is mainly a matter of conviction and the band holds nothing back with this new opus. Sweet Boy is a dense and sharp album, rooted in tradition but modern and powerful, it sounds like its time and reflects this strange period we have been going through for two years. For the mixing, the trio called on Australian producer and mixer Michael Badger-Taweel, known for his work with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. At the crossroads of Idles and Thee Oh Sees, Sweet Boy is a solid post-punk record, worthy of standing alongside the greatest.
