After the success of their first two albums, the neofolk collective SKÁLD presents *Huldufólk*. This third opus once again tells a story, that of the hidden folk of Northern beliefs: By the side of a road, in the middle of a forest, deep in the mountains, elves and trolls lie hidden, discreetly cohabiting with humankind, blending into a wild and wondrous nature.
Drawing from Scandinavian legends and myths, the SKÁLD collective, initiated by producer and composer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet, brings together several talented artists who bring the poets and shamans of ancient times back into the spotlight. To the sound of drums, we are lulled by hypnotic voices that allow us to escape into a fantasized "elsewhere," an elsewhere made of strange and fantastic creatures, marvelous landscapes, and mysteries. These tales into which SKÁLD transports us allow modern man to flee far from the harsh reality of daily life, just like the first Icelandic settlers.
