Description

This sixth solo album by Rodolphe Burger follows Good, and the important tour that followed, concluded by the release of the double album Good Alive. This record, presented by Rodolphe Burger as the "freest" of his career, was recorded in his studio Klein Leberau located in Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines in Alsace, with Christophe Calpini and Sarah Murcia, companions from his last Good tour, and mixed by Luc Tytgat, the "historical" engineer of Kat Onoma. The album features fourteen tracks including four covers: Lost and Lookin' by Sam Cooke, Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo, Ba Ba Boum by the Jamaicans, and Mushroom by Can. From rock steady to Schubert - of which Burger also sings two lieder from Winterreise - this album does not hold back, guided only by a principle of good pleasure. For this free musical journey, Rodolphe Burger invited several guests, including Bertrand Belin for two tracks, the young group Grimaçe to dance again to Can, the voices of Julia Dorner and Hugues Reip, and the musician friends Arnaud Dieterlen and Philippe Poirier. The album concludes with a duet version of La Chambre by Kat Onoma with the singer Christophe.
