To celebrate this unexpected adventure featuring twenty-four artists across eighteen tracks, a title naturally imposed itself for its providential quality. So here are the Lafiya Sessions, like this Bambara word, the language of the rapper’s family and ancestors, in which the idea of relief, that of peace and that of hope are intertwined: “It’s something that has always resonated with me and I feel that it perfectly illustrates the spirit with which we made this mixtape,” explains Oxmo Puccino. “With the artists who collaborated on it, we all said to ourselves that we were better people after this. This mixtape makes everyone lighter.
