It was during a trip to Brazil and with a guitar gifted on-site that Oxmo wrote and composed this new album. Oxmo has always played an instrument; he has one or two tracks on each album for which he is the composer. But on this sixth album, Oxmo composes all 10 tracks. Delicate arrangements by Vincent Segal highlight, as rarely before, the strength of Oxmo's message. All the superfluous elements are gradually erased to move towards a poetic simplicity, a soothing music. Throughout the songs, a more mature theme emerges, already hinted at in the past, addressing fatherhood ("Un an moins le quart") or the passage of time ("Le vide en soi" with its string bed) and the wear on the couple ("Pas ce soir"), and of course the ode to the capital city in the eloquent "Pam Pa Nam."
