Oxmo wrote and composed this new album during a trip to Brazil with a guitar he received there. Oxmo has always played an instrument; on every album, he has one or two tracks he composed. But on this 6th album, Oxmo composed all 10 tracks. Delicate arrangements by Vincent Segal highlight the power of Oxmo's message like never before. All the superfluous elements are gradually removed to achieve a poetic bareness, a serene music. Throughout the songs, we also detect a more mature message, already hinted at in the past, concerning fatherhood ("Un an moins le quart") or the passage of time ("Le vide en soi" and its bed of strings) and wearing down couples ("Pas ce soir"), and of course, the ode to the capital city in the eloquent "Pam Pa Nam."
