Raygun...Naked Raygun (Remastered) - Vinyle Swirl Orange

Description

Naked Raygun was an undeniable pillar of the Chicago music scene, active from the early 80s to the early 90s. Their music proved that punk bands could be both powerful and technically brilliant, leaving a lasting influence on the local scene and beyond. Founded in 1980 by Marco Pezzati, Jeff Pezzati, and Santiago Durango, the band released six albums during its eleven-year existence, establishing a recognizable style that blended pop and hardcore with engaged lyrics. This unique formula, both political and accessible, earned Naked Raygun recognition as one of the most influential punk bands of the 80s, defining what would later be dubbed the "Chicago Sound." After Durango's departure for Big Black, John Haggerty joined the band and left his mark on their sound with his incisive guitar on four albums. Pierre Kezdy and Eric Spicer took over on bass and drums respectively, while in 1990, Haggerty left to form Pegboy and Bill Stephens joined the band for their last studio album, Raygun…Naked Raygun, concluding a legendary and influential career in American punk. Orange swirl vinyl edition.
