Monde sensible

Description

Four years after Jungle contemporaine, Mesparrow makes a striking return and gains even more in poetry, depth, and density. Mesparrow composes with this "Monde sensible" a mischievous map of feelings, aided by the mad scientist arranger Nicolas Bourrigan, bassist of the group Isaac Delusion, and the producer Antoine Thibaudeau (Thylacine, Kid Francescoli) who applies his vibrant signature to the electronic rhythms. Here, the machines are not cold but enchanted, moving or flourishing. We find this constant trait in the singer: this perfect balance between euphoria and melancholy, the organic and the synthetic. One foot on the dance floor (Twist), the other in the cotton field (Saudade). The voice with a cracked gravity twirls, plays with the pulse. Driven by a liberating force, the thirty-something can afford all audacities, even the solemnity of the piano-voice during an ultimate confession (Elle rougit). And if we remember that she loves Barbara so much, Mesparrow is especially one of those women who prevent the song from going in circles.
