The Australian folk duo returns with a sober, delicate album, with sumptuous songwriting. "Sculptor" can be listened to loudly because Luluc's music is masterful in its minimalism. There is a before and an after Luluc's music - a turning point that touches people with a rare force. With "Sculptor", Luluc broadens its sound palette thanks to its successful collaboration with Aaron Dessner of The National, co-producer on "Passerby". Multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer Steve Hassnett recorded a wide range of instruments to fully answer a bold and complete vision for this third album. Randell and Hassett almost wrote, recorded and produced this album themselves, but their vision is far from narrow. In addition to Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), several friends collaborated on "Sculptor", Jim White of Dirty Three plays drums on 'Genius', or musicians Matt Eccles on drums and Dave Nelson on horns.
