TsugiLapalux will release his 3rd album Ruinism on June 30th on Brainfeeder, Flying Lotus's label.Partially inspired by the concept of hypnagogia, a semi-conscious state between wakefulness and sleep, Ruinism explores this notion and the English producer takes us into the limbo between life and death. In this space where the finite and infinite intertwine. Ruinism was born from the score for the theatrical piece 'Depart' that Lapalux wrote and which was performed at the East London cemetery; in this album Stuart Howard (aka Lapalux) deconstructs and reconstructs sound, blending numerous sonic palettes. From this sonic deconstruction emerges a work of subtle and delicate beauty. Ruinism features collaborations with Louisahhh, JFDR (Jófríður Ákadóttir) from the band Gangly, among others.The visual artistic direction is entrusted to Marielle Tepper and the physical formats notably include a 2LP deluxe edition produced in collaboration with the highly prestigious Atelier Imprimerie du Marais.Lapalux, real name Stuart Howard, is a British producer known for his experiments and use of sonic "textures."
