Lapalux (Stuart Howard) returns to Brainfeeder (Flying Lotus’ label) for his 4th album, Amnioverse, whose name refers to the amniotic sac and the universe, expressing the continuity of life, birth, death, rebirth… all in fluidity. These airy, ethereal ideas are translated into a new installation made of analog synthesizers, allowing for the addition of human emotions as well as layers of wind, rain, and fire – elements that combine into a celestial composition. Amnioverse was built on sound excerpts, phrases spoken by friends, lovers, exes… the music drawing inspiration from these words. The album unfolds like the flow of an imperial and majestic river, revealing the contours of the human soul. Lapalux, with the support of Pitchfork, The Wire, Mixmag, Fader, etc., will be touring in 2020 with a new audiovisual show.
