With 'Wir Sind Das Volk', Laibach succeeds in converting into music, noise, and fury the tormented writings of the German playwright Heiner Müller. Just before the first wave of Covid19, Laibach had signed the score for a theatrical production, "Wir Sind Das Volk (Ein Musical Aus Deutschland)", performed in Berlin. This is based on the work of the German playwright Heiner Müller. The profile of this great tormented man could only please the Slovenian group. Additionally, Laibach had met the playwright for a collaboration that could never be realized due to the author's death in 1995. The album is divided into two distinct parts, the studio recording and a live capture of the play.
