Mourad, Olivier, and Florent meet for the first time at the Fil theater in 1999, where their first tours give them a taste for nomadism. Already, the first choruses escape from the back of the bus. From bars to squats, from streets to terraces, they quickly make a name for themselves: La Rue Kétanou, named after one of their songs. Through these makeshift concerts, friendships are forged, including with Allain Leprest and Loïc Lantoine, among others. Then comes the encounter with Tryo, which will change the course of their adventure: a first album on the label of the latter, opening acts all over France. The three guys practically scour all the venues in the Hexagon, and success is on the horizon. The size of the venues grows, a second album is released, followed by a third, recorded live. Today, La Rue Kétanou is a reference in the landscape of "new French chanson," and after a break dedicated to other projects (notably Mon Côté Punk), the three friends are back.
