In short, *An Echo of Love* is entirely driven by momentum.This sense of continuous movement is found not only in the line-up changes - with the arrival of keyboardist Tim Gardner and drummer Pascal Karier, joining long-time members Edmund Kenny (vocals and electronics) and Lawrence Howarth (guitar) - but also in the places where the album was written and recorded. Sessions took place in Tuscany, Austin, Berlin, Zurich, and finally Rome. For Edmund, this album "in a way exists in each of these places."
