The band, formed in London in 2016, is now based between Berlin and Zurich, and the three Britons – Edmund Kenny on vocals, keyboardist Harvey Grant, and guitarist Lawrence Howarth – have created a profoundly European album, straddling past and future, and blending a wealth of influences. In this spirit, the 12 songs on Violet Drive were built from and around the drums; these amazing and off-kilter rhythms define the album.
