Joe Jackson is one of the most important musicians in British Pop. Emerging from the Punk revolution, he immediately stood out for his ability to combine raw energy with intelligent lyrics, all far from stereotypes. Never repeating himself, Joe Jackson was not afraid to mix influences like Jazz, Classical, or Latin music with his original Post-Punk. For Fast Forward, his first album of original songs in seven years, Joe Jackson traveled the world and recorded four sets of four songs in four cities - New York, New Orleans, Berlin, and Amsterdam - each time accompanied by different musicians, including guitarist Bill Frisell, drummer Earl Harvin (Tindersticks), or his loyal bassist Graham Maby.
