A l'occasion du 40ème anniversaire de la disparition de François de Roubaix : L'Essentiel de François de RoubaixPioneer of the home studio, poet of electronics, endlessly sampled and remixed by new generations, François de Roubaix left his mark on a prodigious decade (1965-1975), with several (very) original scores, associated with actors like Delon, Ventura, or Belmondo: Les Grandes gueules, Les Aventuriers, Le Samouraï, Dernier domicile connu, La ScoumouneHis unique melodic and harmonic signature, he placed at the service of the films of Robert Enrico and José Giovanni, which exalt male camaraderie, the harshness of feelings, and vast spaces.After dedicating several complete editions to him, the collection Ecoutez le cinéma ! is proud to dedicate a miraculous anthology to him, on the occasion of this fortieth anniversary: a sort of ultimate synthesis, which brings together the quintessence of François de Roubaix, with his standards (from Chapi Chapo to Le Vieux fusil), unreleased tracks (Far from Dallas), and an inspired reinterpretation (Les Secrets de la mer rouge) by the composer's own son, Benjamin de Roubaix.Around the release of this album, other events will be added: two tribute concerts by Fred Pallem and le Sacre du Tympan (New Morning + Radio France), a special evening on France Musique.
