Description
Promises is an extraordinary collaborative album between British artist Floating Points and saxophone titan Pharoah Sanders. The album also features the London-based group The London Symphony Orchestra. The album cover was created by American visual artist Julie Mehretu. Five years after its creation, Promises will be released on Luaka Bop, the label of New York-based David Byrne (frontman of the band Talking Heads). The album is composed by Sam Shepherd, aka Floating Points, whose second album Crush was awarded various prizes and was the subject of an article in the New York Times.
