Description

In 2015, Sam Shepherd - aka Floating Points - released his debut album, Elaenia, to critical acclaim, which introduced him to a wider audience. He then created Reflections - Mojave Desert, a short film accompanied by an original soundtrack composed of tracks recorded in the Mojave Desert.Among them, Ratio, an epic track nearly 19 minutes long, reminiscent of his early dancefloor-oriented pieces.Floating Points developed Ratio as part of his solo electronic music live performances at festivals around the world. The track quickly became a fan favorite, a true highlight of his sets.Ratio was released on October 19, 2017. The track was also available on vinyl, presented as a deconstructed mix over 18 minutes long.Reissue of the original 2017 version.
