Quintessence of Tibetan black masses, it fuses mantras and Gregorian invocations, "unveiling" an ode to eternal suffering, a terrifying fresco of the Last Judgment."First and last album by Current 93, 'Nature Unveiled' gathered my obsessions: I had decided to create a pop album exploring my main fascinations (then as now!): apocalyptic and eschatological Christian texts. In my overexcited mind and soul, I believed I was reinventing the Ronettes, and that both A and B sides of *Nature Unveiled* were the B and A sides of a Wall Of Soundhogs hit! But in reality, I was squatting in Vauxhall with little Anxiety, and hanging out with Youth in the Batcave, with chickens rescued by the Animal Liberation Front in our garden. Or maybe that happened shortly after? The album was recorded at Roundhouse Studios in Chalk Farm, London, the headquarters of Bronze Records, the label of my heroes (then as now!) Uriah Heep, and also Motörhead, for whom I had carried stage equipment during their tour promoting their first single on Chiswick Records."
