Description
Chicha Libre's first release in 10 years is an EP recorded in Mexico with the cumbia punk heroes Son Rompe Pera, and in Bogotá with the Colombian retro-futurist tropical group La Sonora Mazuren. The EP includes covers of the classic Tequila (by The Champs) and Caminito de mi Tierra, by the cult Ecuadorian composer Polibio Mayorga. The B-side consists of remixes of these two tracks in Rebajada and Rustico styles. The title of the record refers to the national drinks of Mexico and Colombia.
