Nearly twenty years after the release of the original Buena Vista Social Club album, World Circuit is proud to present 'Lost and Found' — a collection of previously unreleased recordings made during the legendary original sessions of the Buena Vista "all-stars" constellation: Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González, Cachaíto López, Guajiro Mirabal, Eliades Ochoa, Omara Portuondo & Compay Segundo, along with live recordings from the same period. The original Buena Vista Social Club album, recorded in 1996 for World Circuit by Ry Cooder in Havana, brought together great names from the golden age of 1950s Cuban music and enjoyed a resounding success as unexpected as it was international, to the point of becoming the most famous album in the history of Cuban music. Other remarkable records followed, as well as a dazzling live album recorded at Carnegie Hall in New York. Buena Vista Social Club became a hallmark. The Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, which still includes several of the original members, continues to tour the world and is set to begin its farewell tour in 2015.
