Produced by Christopher Johansson, who magnified and provided a soundscape for the Swede's compositions, this 2nd solo album follows the eponymous album which unleashed passions due to its quality and rarity: 100 copies released by The Greatest Records and a selection from RadioFrance's disco gems. Bror Gunnar Jansson's repertoire explores the depths of (his incendiary cover of Ain't No Grave). But the man tugs at the heartstrings with beautiful laments and cinematic ballads worthy of Charley Patton, Brother Claude Ely, and Tom Waits. A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, drums, saxophone, keyboard), Bror ("Brother" in Swedish) Gunnar Jansson possesses, in addition to his Deep Blues references, a personality that makes all the difference: a rough and primitive blues, a soulful vocal tone, and poignant intensity.
