The Dirty Boogie/Remastered on 180g Vinyl With Expanded Gatefold on Seafoam Melt Vinyl

Description

The Brian Setzer Orchestra (sometimes known by the initials BSO) is a swing and jump blues band formed in 1992 by Stray Cats frontman Brian Setzer. In 1994, they released their debut album, followed by Guitar Slinger in 1996. On their groundbreaking 1998 album The Dirty Boogie, the band covered Louis Prima's "Jump, Jive an' Wail," originally from Prima's 1957 album The Wildest! The BSO's next single, which appeared on the album Vavoom!, was "Gettin' in the Mood." 'The Dirty Boogie' is the third album by the Brian Setzer Orchestra and is their groundbreaking album featuring "Jump, Jive an' Wail." The album is a mix of well-arranged originals and covers from the 1950s and 1960s and is known for its swing and jump blues influences. The first single from the album was a cover of Louis Prima's "Jump Jive an' Wail," which became popular in 1956. It also includes a cover of the Stray Cats song "Rock This Town." A must-have for Brian Setzer fans.
