Upon its release, Setzer stated that it was the most personal record he had ever made. The album followed his "Boogie Woogie Christmas" from the previous year and saw him return to his best rockabilly form, with a pinch of doo-wop ("To Be Loved"), a dash of bluegrass ("When The Bells Don't Chime"), a hint of rootsy-rock ("Don't Trust A Woman (In A Black Cadillac)") and even a handful of spaghetti western for good measure ("Wild Wind").
