The chanters of atmospheric pop are back! Since its formation in 1990 in Liverpool, Anathema, while remaining true to its ideals, has embarked on a long musical journey that has seen it emerge as a pioneer of melodic metal to become today the spearhead of an extraordinary atmospheric pop. "Distant Satellites" is the culmination of all the work done by Anathema and contains all the elements that have made the band resonate until now. The album was recorded and mixed at Studio Cederberg in Oslo by Christer-André Cederberg and also partially mixed by Steven Wilson. Anathema fans, fervent disciples whose numbers continue to grow, will undoubtedly recognize here a new chapter in the rich musical history of Anathema, which already spans over 20 years. Indeed, the Cavanagh brothers continue to enchant us with their songwriting talent through songs crafted by these artisans whose vitality, verve, and passion continue to carry them to the peak of their art. Once again, they have decided to surprise us by incorporating some more electronic parts into their music while maintaining the very essence of the Anathema sound. It should be noted that the limited edition comes in the form of a beautiful digibook with a 24-page booklet and contains a bonus DVD with the 5.1 mix of the album made by Jens Bogren (Opeth).
