To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the formation of Anathema, Peaceville is offering a special double CD edition of the legendary Serenades, the band's first album released in 1993. At the crossroads of doom and death metal, Anathema already reveals a rare emotional depth, blending heavy riffs, ethereal atmospheres, and acoustic passages. Remastered by Jaime Gomez (Orgone Studios), this masterful album includes tracks that have become cult classics such as "They (Will Always) Die" or "J'ai Fait Une Promesse". The second disc offers rare gems from the era, including the duo that originally made up a 7" They Die/Crestfallen, and other unreleased recordings. A true testament to a golden age of British doom, this reissue highlights a band that would establish itself as one of the most respected in the metal scene.
