To celebrate Anathema's 35th anniversary, Peaceville is releasing a special double CD edition of the legendary *Serenades*, the band's debut album from 1993. At the crossroads of doom and death metal, Anathema already displayed a rare emotional depth, blending heavy riffs, ethereal atmospheres, and acoustic passages. Remastered by Jaime Gomez (Orgone Studios), this masterful album includes cult tracks like "They (Will Always) Die" and "J'ai Fait Une Promesse." The second disc offers rare gems from that era, including the duo that originally comprised a 7" *They Die/Crestfallen*, and other unreleased recordings. A true testament to a golden age of British doom, this re-release highlights a band that would become one of the most respected in the metal scene.
