After two albums sung in English, including Forty Eight Hours (2012) produced by Arnaud Rebotini, and on which he
duetted with Etienne Daho (him again), the Franco-American regularly wondered about singing in
French; time finally convinced him. This lover of keyboards and the eighties recalls his
first embraces for George Clinton, Bootsy Collins and Funkadelic. He tints certain tracks with flashes
of black and white funk, adjusts the random temperature of the synths, and injects G-funk elements here and there. Finally, there are
songs about misunderstanding (Fais comme si) and romantic amnesia (Souvenir détail), a nod to John
Fante (Demande à la poussière), latent groove (Take it all), a sexual breakthrough and Caribbean-tinged new wave
(Parfum), and even an end credit with shimmering indolence (Dernière fête). "Couleur chaos"
then, to forget the disorder outside.
