The Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded in 1996 by singer Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. After their early recordings in Doom Metal, they developed their music into a more accessible symphonic style. Within Temptation released their first EP 'Enter' in 1997. The EP is rooted in gothic and Doom Metal, featuring Robert Westerholt's harsh growls and Sharon den Adel's beautiful voice. With its dark atmosphere and long instrumental sections, they created an impressive EP. Guitarist Robert Westerholt provides growls on various songs, contrasting with Sharon's high and stunning voice. The EP 'The Dance' contains 5 tracks. Sharon's beautiful vocal parts are intertwined with aggressive guitar riffs and drum rolls. Sharon darkens her voice to match the heavy music.
