Transitions, the third album by Boston ska stalwarts Westbound Train, is finally receiving its first-ever vinyl pressing, 17 years after its initial release on Tim Armstrong's Hellcat Records label. This 16-track record showcases a band at the peak of their powers, expertly blending early Jamaican ska, reggae, and rocksteady sounds with 60s American jazz, soul, and funk influences to create an authentic and unique sound.
