Volo 17 ans (en acoustique)

Description

« 17 years » is not a birthday that we celebrate especially, usually, in a decimal numbering system. We agree. Yet if we remember that Volo released their first album in 2005 and that the next one will be released in March 2022. We must note that between the two, it makes 17 years. We agree. « 17 years » is also the name of one of our songs that talks about the perspective we can have on the young man we once were. While remembering the perspective that young man, at the age of 17, had on the "old" people we have become. Even if from this point of view, we are still young. We agree. « 17 years » since our first concert, 7 albums after our first recording, two lockdowns and 5 waves after the release of our last CD, we will release on March 4th an acoustic "best of" that summarizes who we are and what we have always been. To record it, we went with our producer Alexis Campet, to isolate ourselves, in a quiet house. We wanted to capture this moment, to succeed in conveying those few days together, where we revisited our « 17 years ». In the strictest intimacy, in the greatest simplicity, we first recorded our songs in their stripped-down versions, guitar and voice. Later, Alexis came sparingly, to the sound of a keyboard or an electric guitar, to add his elegance. In doing so, we gave ourselves a nice gift, which is always welcome for a birthday. This album is titled « 17 years (acoustic) » since, therefore, apparently, it could not be otherwise. We agree. A small exception to the rule of 17 developed so far, the album contains 21 acoustic tracks: 19 taken from our previous albums and 2 unreleased. On this occasion, a limited edition of the album « Avec son frère » will make its appearance in stores again. This will be accompanied by the five acoustic versions of the tracks from the album as well as two unreleased.
