After collaborating closely with Girls in Hawaii, Françoiz Breut, Castus and the Blondie Brownie duo, Boris Gronemberger is reinventing himself and indulging in the pleasure of returning as a sextet under the name River into Lake, a new incarnation of the Brussels project V.O., which he led for fifteen years. In 2019, this resulted in 'Let The Beast Out' - a bubbling album of orchestral pop. Just over a year after the album's release, the sextet returns with The Crossing, an EP of four new tracks recorded in the same vein as 'Let The Beast Out'. This new EP deals with current issues and cleverly combines sharp pop melodies, complex harmonies and sounds inherited from the 70s in a magma of sounds and rhythms that gives pride of place to synthesizers and analog drum machines, without however denying the acoustic aspirations that have become the sextet's trademark.
