The Brussels band V.O. is reinventing itself with a first album of impressionistic indie pop After a few silences, the Brussels band V.O. is getting a new look and treating itself to the pleasure of returning to sound under the name River Into Lake. At the head of the project is Boris Gronemberger (former musician for Girls in Hawaii and Françoiz Breut), accompanied by his faithful companions who have never stopped energizing the current Belgian scene, on albums, but also in dance performances, in theater and for film scores. Between 2017 and 2018, they began writing new songs and got together in a house to record their new album Let The Beast Out. A magma of sounds and rhythms giving pride of place to synthesizers and analog drum machines. An anthem to the beauty of life and the universe, which deals with the issues of the moment, of freeing oneself from fears, of moving forward. Born more than 15 years ago, the band released its first album Pictures in 2005 on the former Brussels label Matamore. This was followed by Obstacles in 2008 and On Rapids in 2012, an album produced in Chicago by John McEntire (Tortoise, The Sea and Cake).
