Description

'30 YEARS': Sinsémilia’s anniversary album. In the French musical landscape, Sinsémilia today occupies a place that its impressive track record alone could never sum up. If the Grenoble-based group has built such a reputation over three decades, it is first and foremost thanks to its human dimension, cultivated with the same sincerity in the shadows as in the spotlight, and reflected in its music. Over the years, the formula has evolved while following the same guiding line: combining the colors and spirit of reggae, a major influence, with those of their personal culture, as they grew up in France and come from diverse backgrounds. To celebrate this new anniversary approaching in 2021, the Grenoble band first wanted to bring their wishes to life: new tracks as duets with friends like Komlan from Dub Inc, remixes in the image of the classic Douanier entrusted to Manudigital, revisited versions of older songs (Prendre le temps, as a duet with Tryo, Le Futur with Vanupié)... Throughout its history, which has been written largely on stage during the 1,300 concerts (truly) given across mainland France and overseas territories, Sinsémilia has always known how to project itself into the present without cutting itself off from the past. But above all without repeating it.
