In 1997, the band performed at various festivals and recorded their first album titled Mamagubida live in November, a name formed from the first syllable of each member: Manu, Mali, Guizmo, Bibou (in organization and technical support), and Daniel. The first song from this album, "L'Hymne de nos Campagnes," would be played by Tryo nine years later at the Victoires de la Musique 2006.
