Chaz Bear (formerly Bundick) grew up in South Carolina, influenced by a variety of artists such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Costello, and The Specials. Nominated for the 2020 Grammy Awards for his collaboration with Flume on The Difference, he has made a name for himself with unclassifiable and innovative music. After a prolific start as an independent artist, his first album with Carpark Records, Causers of This (2010), marked the bedroom pop scene. Refusing to limit himself to one style, he has explored various sounds with albums like Underneath the Pine, What For?, and Boo Boo. In 2019, Outer Peace and Soul Trash confirmed his taste for experimentation, blending collaborations and lo-fi loops. Available on vinyl for the first time, Soul Trash connects the past and present, illustrating Chaz's tireless quest for innovation.
