Released in 2003, Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen's Changing Places offers music that is both gentle and powerful, constantly singing. From this first album, Gustavsen drew inspiration from gospel and choirs, organically blending these traditions to provide rich material for his trio's improvisations, moving with instinct and originality within these traditional structures. The album is being reissued on vinyl for the first time as part of the Luminessence series.
