Themes For Dreams marks a turning point in the career of Will Miller, a musician, composer, and producer from Chicago, who here shows himself to be more meditative, patient, and thoughtful than ever. Thirteen beautiful and remarkably cohesive tracks forgo drums in favor of immersive melodies that float, dissipate, and linger. An album conducive to relaxation, with arrangements so enveloping that they provide a sense of gentle warmth. Although it is his most stripped-down work to date, Miller retains his extraordinary spirit of collaboration, featuring artists such as Marta Sofia Honer, Jeremiah Chiu, Macie Stewart, Matt Gold, William Corduroy, Molly Rife, and many others. Themes for Dreams is the first self-produced album from the new label L'UNIVERS of Resavoir, following three albums with International Anthem. Resavoir has toured extensively in Europe and the UK, opened for Khruangbin, BADBADNOTGOOD, and Kassa Overall, and will headline a major concert with the Resavoir orchestra (18 musicians) at Millennium Park in Chicago in 2025. A tour in the United States and Europe/UK is planned for fall 2026, positioning Themes for Dreams as a high-quality album for jazz and multi-genre vinyl enthusiasts.
