'Rock n Roll Consciousness' writes a new chapter in the history of Thurston Moore, and promises to be a creative peak for those interested in the artist's work. Thurston Moore settled into Church Studios in London to record new songs with producer Paul Epworth, a famous producer and co-writer among others for Adele, the Pop Group, and Florence & the Machine. The Thurston Moore Group has been on the road since the release of the album 'The Best Day' (2014, Matador), on which we discovered James Sedwards on guitar, Deb Googe from My Bloody Valentine on bass, and Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth on drums. On 'Rock n Roll Consciousness', Thurston focuses on the strength of the group, as well as its beauty and what is most promising: the sublime guitar playing of James Sedwards is unleashed, just like the minimalist groove ethic of Deb Googe and the swinging dynamism of Steve Shelley.
